If they can, SO CAN YOU!

To revisit your darkest memories and  bare your soul takes immense courage. The Author has praised them generously everywhere repeatedly and heaven knows they deserve it. My own Father has been close to death twice, and we are not blind to the fact that his doctor was always at his beck and call whether day or night.

An immaculately written book, a lot of thought has been put into the presentation and writing. Starting with Why? What?? Who? of the book by Dr Roopleen, Each Doctor have got a dedicated section to him/her starting with a single quality that best describes them , a photograph ,a short bio and a thoughtful quote in a thick glossy page, before starting on with their detailed Life stories spanning 4 – 5 pages. Inspiring is a subtle word for describing how you feel when you read each of it. Its shocking sometimes. They have chosen to share their lifetime learnings  with us at the end of each memoir with ‘advice to young doctors and aspirants’ and ‘words of wisdom or takeaways’ in the doctor’s own words and the complete essence of the book is captured in those pages. The words of wisdom they are sharing comes from a lifetime of trials and tribulations and survival, so do give it a serious thought.
